Job summary

BigBear.ai is seeking an AI Engineer Intern to support our engineering team. This internship is designed for college students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related fields.

You will work alongside experienced AI engineers to design, build, and test AI-driven solutions for real-world problems. You will gain hands-on experience across the AI development lifecycle, from data preprocessing to deploying AI solutions in real-world applications, while

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in CS / AI / DS / SE or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above preferred.
• Basic understanding of ML concepts (supervised/unsupervised learning, neural networks).
• Familiarity with Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and testing of AI/ML models and algorithms.
• Support data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation tasks.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on software development projects.
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and agile sprint activities.
• Research emerging AI technologies and present findings to the team.
