Midland States Bank invites applications for an Intern - AI Solutions Engineer to join our AI team in prototyping, testing, and delivering practical AI solutions that safely embed AI into business workflows. The role focuses on hands-on contributions to AI projects from idea through delivery, building AI agents, and integrating data via APIs and MCP, with governance and security baked in.

This internship runs Summer 2027, requires 40 hours/week, and local residence in St.

Competenze

Enrolled in a Computer Science, Engineering, Data/Analytics, Information Systems, or related degree with at least 2 years completed.
Available to work Summer 2027, mid-May to early August.
Must reside local to St. Louis, MO; Effingham, IL; or Rockford, IL.
Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to learn quickly.

Mansioni

Own or contribute to at least one production-focused AI project from idea to delivery.
Assist in building AI agents and applications for business use cases.
Connect enterprise data and systems via APIs or MCP as appropriate.
Enhance the Midland AI platform and develop workflow automations.
Test AI models and measure solution adoption and impact.
Collaborate with AI/engineering and business partners with governance and security.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain compliance with BSA and applicable regulations.
