Job summary

Apoddo is seeking an exceptional Lead AI Engineer to spearhead design and development of our advanced Agentic AI systems. You will lead a dedicated AI engineering team, write production-grade Python, and drive our generative AI strategy.

You will mentor engineers, architect multi-agent workflows with LangGraph and CrewAI, fine-tune frontier and open-source models, and ensure scalable, low-latency integration into our platform. Fully remote setup with overlapping CET/CEST hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software and AI/ML engineering experience, with deep production-level Python expertise.
• Minimum 2+ years as Tech Lead, guiding software or AI teams.
• Proven track record designing and implementing AI agents and multi-agent systems with LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
• Strong experience prompting, fine-tuning, and evaluating large language models (proprietary/frontier and open-source).

As the Lead AI Engineer, you will be the driving technical force behind our generative AI strategy. You will be completely hands‑on—writing production-grade Python code—while concurrently mentoring your team and establishing architectural best practices for AI agent deployment, model fine‑tuning, and evaluation.

• Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on software and AI/ML engineering experience, with deep, production‑level expertise in Python.
• Minimum 2+ years of proven experience acting as a Tech Lead, managing and guiding software or AI engineering teams.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing complex AI agents and multi‑agent systems using tools like LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
• Strong practical experience prompting, fine‑tuning, and evaluating Large Language Models (both proprietary/frontier and open‑source).
• Ability to consistently overlap with the core team from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Belgrade time (CET/CEST).
