Job summary

eNGINE in New York City is hiring two AI Engineers who want to redefine software with AI as a core design partner. You'll build applications in Java, Python, and Spring Boot, embedding AI into how you code, test, and ship.

You'll own delivery end to end, collaborate with product managers and engineers, and continuously evaluate AI tools to improve workflows. A background in financial services and hands-on AI usage are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Python, and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on use of AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Windsurf or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design and build applications in Java, Python and Spring Boot.
• Use AI tools daily to speed up development and automate manual tasks.
• Experiment with new AI tools and integrate the best into the workflow.
• Take projects from design through deployment and production support.
• Build scalable, maintainable applications and influence architecture for AI-enabled development.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into applications and connect APIs for LLM features.
• Work in a fast-moving, delivery-focused environment and participate in sprint planning.
