Job summary

Prospect Capital, a New York-based alternative asset management firm, is seeking an AI Engineer to design and deploy AI/ML solutions across operations and a 120+ company portfolio. You will automate core processes, build models for valuations and risk, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and decision-making.

The role requires 3–5 years of development experience, strong Python/SQL/Docker, and familiarity with TensorFlow or PyTorch.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional development experience.
• Strong Python, SQL, Docker, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation skills.
• Familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn is a plus.
• Experience building projects using AI models is a plus.
• Interest in applying AI to financial contexts like investments or PE.

Responsibilities

• Automate Core Processes: Develop AI-driven automations for quarter-end processes and data collection.
• Build & Refine Models: Design AI models for valuations, risk, and operations.
• Portfolio Company Optimization: Collaborate with C-Suite of portfolio companies to drive profitability through automation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with investment, back-office and tech teams to solve problems with AI.
• Data Analysis & Insights: Extract actionable insights from large data sets to inform strategy.
• Process & Systems Integration: Ensure tools integrate with existing infrastructure and provide training.
