Prospect Capital Management, an established alternative asset manager with offices in New York, is seeking an AI Engineer to design and deploy AI solutions across back-office processes and its 120+ portfolio companies. The role involves close collaboration with investment, operations, and finance teams to enhance efficiency and decision-making.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of development experience with strong Python, SQL, Docker, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation skills, with familiarity

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional development experience.
• Strong Python, SQL, Docker, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and data manipulation skills.
• Familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn a plus.

Responsibilities

• Automate Core Processes: Develop AI-driven automations for quarter-end processes, data collection, and various investment sub-processes.
• Build & Refine Models: Design and improve internal AI models to support valuations, risk assessments, and operational decision-making.
• Portfolio Company Optimization: Collaborate with Prospect’s portfolio companies to improve profitability using automation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams to identify and solve AI/data-science challenges.
• Data Analysis & Insights: Provide actionable insights from large data sets to inform fundraising, marketing, and strategy.
