Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an AI Architect/Engineer to design, build, and integrate agentic AI solutions within our health and pension benefits platform. You will work across frontend, backend, databases, and integrations to orchestrate workflows and automate participant transactions with AI-enabled user journeys.

The role demands hands-on experience with AI agents, LLM integration, and enterprise architecture in hybrid cloud environments, with on-site presence in Burbank, CA.

Job Description

Our client is undergoing a major modernization initiative to redesign and consolidate its participant-facing Health & Pension benefits platform. This web application enables members to enroll in benefits, manage dependents, review eligibility, and access pension and healthcare information.

The organization has already developed an AI-powered assistant that is moving into production and can answer participant questions and guide users through enrollment processes. The next phase is to significantly expand the platform's AI capabilities by enabling intelligent agents to perform actions, orchestrate workflows, and complete participant transactions through a seamless conversational experience.

The AI Architect/Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and integrating agentic AI solutions into an enterprise application environment. This individual must be equally comfortable with software engineering, AI architecture, system integration, and enterprise-scale solution design. They will help create a unified participant experience where AI agents can guide users, execute workflows, integrate across systems, and automate complex processes.

Skills and Requirements

• 7+ years of engineering experience
• Experience designing and implementing AI, Agentic AI, and Gen AI solutions in enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience building AI agents, agent workflows, and multi-agent orchestration solutions
• Experience integrating LLMs into customer-facing applications
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and distributed systems
• Experience designing end-to-end solutions across front-end, back-end, databases, and integrations
• Java development experience
• Angular development experience
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into existing applications and user experiences
• Experience working with APIs, enterprise integrations, and workflow automation
• Strong system design and solution architecture skills
• Ability to translate business processes into AI-enabled user journeys
• Experience working in hybrid cloud and/or hybrid data center environments
• Ability to work onsite in Burbank Monday through Wednesday
• Experience with Anthropic Claude and agent frameworks
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Gemini
• Experience designing human-in-the-loop AI workflows
• experience implementing AI driven workflow automation and agentic capabilities
• Experience implementing AI-driven transaction completion and workflow automation
• Experience with agentic software development and AI-assisted coding solutions
• Experience within benefits administration, healthcare, pension, or member-facing platforms
