Job summary

Insight Global is recruiting for an AI-focused software engineer to design and build scalable, production-ready systems. The role involves architecting end-to-end AI solutions across LLMs, GraphRAG, and data ingestion, while collaborating with stakeholders to drive product strategy and implementation.

You will work with backend services in Java/Python/C#/Go and contribute to graph-based knowledge systems using Neo4j, AWS, and GCP in a cloud-native environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-driven applications from PoC to production.

We are building next-generation products for internal business users that support client-facing tax and financial services business. This team operates as an R&D and product innovation group focused on designing, architecting, and delivering intelligent solutions from concept through production.

This is a highly entrepreneurial environment where engineers are expected to think critically, solve complex problems independently, and contribute to product strategy, architecture, and implementation.

What You’ll Do

Design and build AI-driven applications and intelligent systems from proof of concept through production deploymentArchitect end-to-end solutions around LLMs, GraphRAG, knowledge retrieval, and intelligent data ingestionTranslate business requirements into scalable technical architecturesBuild systems that process, enrich, and deliver insights from large structured and unstructured data sourcesDevelop backend services using modern programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or similarCreate and optimize graph-based knowledge systems using Neo4j and GraphRAG methodologiesDesign cloud-native solutions across AWS, GCP, and other cloud environmentsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business challenges and identify AI-driven opportunitiesEvaluate emerging AI technologies and incorporate them into product development effortsParticipate in architectural decisions, technical design reviews, and product innovation discussions

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of software engineering experienceStrong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, C#, Go, etc.)Experience building scalable backend applications and distributed systemsWorking knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI application developmentExperience with data ingestion, transformation, and retrieval systemsKnowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and software design patternsExperience with multithreaded application development and performance optimizationStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work through complex technical challenges in real timeAbility to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholdersExperience designing solutions from business requirements through implementationHands-on experience with Neo4jExperience implementing GraphRAG architecturesExperience building retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systemsAWS and/or GCP cloud experienceKnowledge of event-driven architectures, messaging systems, and queueing technologiesExperience with large-scale database management and performance tuningExperience synchronizing and managing data across global environmentsExposure to financial services, tax, accounting, or professional services industries
