Qualifications

• Education as stated in requirements (Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, data science, or related field).
• 5+ years in software engineering, data engineering, ML, or AI engineering.
• Hands-on with LLM APIs and orchestration frameworks; AI agent development or agentic workflows; prompt engineering and RAG architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and modern backend frameworks; APIs, microservices, and enterprise system integrations; cloud-native services (Docker, CI/CD).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade AI agents and agentic workflows enabling task automation and human-in-the-loop approvals.
• Develop predictive capabilities from historical and real-time data to guide next-best actions and improve performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to enable agentic solutions across Operations, HR, Admissions, and IT.
• Design and maintain the enterprise AI agent framework including prompt management, lifecycle management, and integration layers.
• Implement and manage enterprise LLM integrations, secure prompt pipelines, and model/agent evaluation frameworks; monitor quality, drift, latency, and cost.
• Implement responsible AI practices, ensure compliance with security policies, and establish access controls and audit trails.

Job description

We are looking for an AI Engineer to join our Information Technology team. The ideal candidate will be a practitioner-level specialist with strong AI, software engineering, and data engineering expertise. This role will focus on designing, developing, and deploying secure, scalable AI agents and agentic workflows that enable intelligent automation and predictive capabilities across enterprise functions. You will build the frameworks and reusable components that enable AI agents to automate complex business processes while incorporating human oversight and validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade AI agents and agentic workflows capable of task automation, multi-step reasoning, enterprise data retrieval, tool and API invocation, decision support, and human-in-the-loop approvals; develop reusable agent components, SDKs, and reference architectures for organizational scaling.
• Develop predictive capabilities that improve and automate operational decision-making using historical and real-time enterprise data to identify patterns, forecast outcomes, and recommend next-best actions; integrate predictive models into agentic workflows and incorporate feedback loops to measure outcomes and improve performance.
• Partner with internal teams and external consultants to develop agentic solutions supporting Operations (staffing, scheduling, census management, compliance workflows), Human Resources (onboarding, policy Q&A, employee support), Admissions (referral workflows, intake coordination, CRM automation), and IT (service desk triage, knowledge retrieval, incident workflows).
• Design and maintain the enterprise AI agent framework including prompt management, agent configuration and lifecycle management, tool and API integration layers, authentication and role-based access, audit logging and observability; establish development standards and reusable patterns for internal and external teams.
• Implement and manage enterprise LLM integrations, develop secure prompt pipelines and RAG solutions, build model and agent evaluation frameworks, and monitor agent quality, model performance, drift, hallucination, latency, and cost; deploy AI services using scalable cloud-native architecture with APIs, containers, and CI/CD.
• Implement responsible AI practices (bias detection, explainability, traceability, testing, model/prompt version control); establish access controls, audit trails, and approval mechanisms for autonomous workflows; ensure compliance with HIPAA, state regulatory requirements, and organizational security policies.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
• Experience: 5+ years in software engineering, data engineering, machine learning, or AI engineering
• Skills: Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and orchestration frameworks; AI agent development or agentic workflows; prompt engineering and RAG architectures; strong proficiency in Python and modern backend frameworks; APIs, microservices, and enterprise system integrations; cloud-native services (Docker, CI/CD)
• Technical Stack: Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, or comparable cloud/data platforms; understanding of Medallion data architecture and governed enterprise data pipelines
• Other: Enterprise integration patterns and API expertise; analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate business workflows into scalable agentic solutions

• Predictive modeling, machine learning, or intelligent automation experience
• Reinforcement learning, feedback-based optimization, or adaptive agent systems exposure
• Enterprise system integration and workflow automation background
