Motion Recruitment Partners in Waltham, MA is seeking an AI Engineer, Agentic Customer Workflows to design and deploy real-time AI-powered backend services and APIs. This full-time role focuses on integrating LLMs and ML models into production systems, not ETL tasks, with a strong emphasis on scalable, observable infrastructure.

You will own AI-driven features from development to deployment, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and contribute to monitoring and optimization of AI

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• 4+ years of experience integrating ML/LLMs into production environments.
• Experience building APIs, backend services, and microservices.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and observability practices.
• Experience implementing monitoring, evaluation frameworks for AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize backend services, APIs, and microservices that support AI-powered workflows.
• Integrate machine learning and LLM solutions into scalable production systems.
• Own AI-driven features from development through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Build evaluation frameworks to measure and improve LLM quality and performance.
• Troubleshoot issues across AI services, model-serving infrastructure, and backend platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system architecture, technical planning, and product initiatives.
• Enhance system scalability, reliability, observability, and overall performance.
