AI Engineer
About the Role:
A leading private real estate investment firm is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative AI Engineer to help build and scale its next-generation enterprise AI capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on technology professional with expertise across software engineering, machine learning, cloud architecture, data platforms, and AI product development.
The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders, engineers, analysts, and operations teams to design, build, deploy, and maintain AI solutions that create measurable business value. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop AI-powered applications, agents, copilots, and decision-support systems.
- Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using enterprise data sources.
- Develop and deploy agentic workflows using modern AI orchestration frameworks.
- Build reusable AI services and capabilities that support multiple business functions.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and identify practical business applications.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications and AI-enabled systems.
- Develop APIs, backend services, integrations, and automation workflows.
- Establish software engineering standards and best practices for AI-enabled products.
- Evaluate AI and machine learning models for performance, accuracy, reliability, latency, and cost.
- Develop testing and evaluation frameworks for production AI systems.
- Help establish the organization's long-term enterprise AI platform strategy.
- Integrate AI capabilities with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Fabric, OneLake, Power Platform, Azure, and other enterprise systems.
- Partner with business teams to identify and develop high-value AI opportunities.
- Implement security, governance, monitoring, auditability, and compliance controls for AI solutions.
- Establish best practices for responsible AI adoption and operational excellence.
- Stay current with advancements in LLMs, AI agents, reasoning models, machine learning, MCP, and enterprise AI platforms.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, machine learning, AI engineering, or a related field.
- Experience building and deploying production-grade applications.
- Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, including CI/CD, testing, version control, and deployment automation.
- Experience designing scalable cloud-based architectures.
- Strong experience working directly with business stakeholders to solve complex problems.
- Experience with AI technologies such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, Microsoft Copilot, or Copilot Studio.
- Knowledge of RAG architectures, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and AI model evaluation.
- Experience with machine learning platforms and AI frameworks such as Azure Machine Learning, Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar technologies.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Python, C#, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Experience with technologies such as .NET, React, Node.js, REST APIs, and SQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms, data engineering, and enterprise application architecture.
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Fabric, OneLake, Purview, Entra ID, Power Platform, and Power Automate, is preferred.
