Gravity IT Resources is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer, AI, to lead delivery of production AI systems and mentor early‑career engineers. You will architect and ship agentic workflows, integrations, and RAG patterns across ERP data and finance use cases.

The role emphasizes deep Python code craftsmanship, production readiness, and collaboration in a distributed team. Remote options exist with a 6‑month contract.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in AI engineering or enterprise AI delivery.
• Hands-on experience with modern LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, Google).
• Experience building agentic systems with frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar.
• Proficiency in Python with async patterns, API clients, data processing, testing.
• Experience with RAG architectures and vector stores.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop agentic AI workflows — multi‑step, multi‑tool systems with memory, planning, and human‑in‑the‑loop checkpoints.
• Build and maintain AI‑powered solutions for finance and accounting use cases, spanning code‑first services and low/no‑code platforms.
• Develop Python‑based automation and AI integration code — well‑structured, production‑ready
• Engineer prompt templates, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) patterns, and evaluation frameworks.
• Connect AI pipelines to ERP and enterprise data — REST/OData APIs, data entities, SQL
• Pair with and mentor the team’s junior engineers; review their designs and code
• Contribute to AI architecture decisions and architecture decision records alongside the AI Engineering Lead
• Support organization‑wide AI adoption — demos, office hours, and internal upskilling content

Sr. Software Engineer, AI
Location: Weston, FL (2 days) – also open to remote
Contract (6 months)

This engineer is the delivery and mentorship multiplier of the AI engineering team — the senior builder who turns architecture into shipped solutions and models engineering craft for early‑career teammates. The role is platform‑agnostic by design: what matters is deep, current fluency in building production AI systems — agentic workflows, LLM integrations, retrieval patterns, evaluation — on whatever stack the problem calls for. Today’s estate is Microsoft‑centered (Azure AI, Copilot Studio, Power Platform), but we hire for the engineering, not the vendor. This person carries the team’s most complex builds while raising the bar for everyone around them.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop agentic AI workflows — multi‑step, multi‑tool systems with memory, planning, and human‑in‑the‑loop checkpoints — using the frameworks and model providers best suited to each use case
• Build and maintain AI‑powered solutions for finance and accounting use cases, spanning code‑first services and low/no‑code platforms as appropriate
• Develop Python‑based automation and AI integration code — well‑structured, tested, production‑ready
• Engineer prompt templates, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) patterns, and evaluation frameworks for enterprise use cases
• Connect AI pipelines to ERP and enterprise data — REST/OData APIs, data entities, SQL

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in AI engineering or enterprise AI solution delivery
• Hands‑on experience building against modern LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, Google) — completions, embeddings, tool/function calling, structured outputs
• Experience building agentic systems — tool use, memory management, orchestration — with one or more frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, Microsoft Agent Framework, or equivalent in‑house patterns)
• Proficiency in Python — async patterns, API clients, data processing, testing
• Experience with RAG architectures — vector stores, embedding pipelines, retrieval strategies
• Strong ability to write clean, maintainable, production‑grade code with test coverage
• Effective mentor and collaborator in a distributed team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Microsoft AI stack — Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, Power Platform
• Familiarity with enterprise ERP data structures and API patterns (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Experience with AI evaluation and observability tooling — eval harnesses, tracing, model comparison
• Relevant cloud or AI certifications (any major provider)
• Background in finance, accounting, or ERP process automation
