Job summary

Matson, Inc. in Anchorage is seeking an AI Specialist to translate terminal operations into measurable KPIs and to drive organization-wide AI adoption in partnership with IT and operations teams.

You will build KPI dashboards, map data sources, and develop AI-enabled workflows that improve efficiency while ensuring responsible use of AI across the organization. This role requires strong analytical skills and change-management capability.

Qualifications

• Proven KPI definition from raw data and sustainment reporting.
• Ability to translate complex processes into measurable metrics.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data for analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop KPI definitions for terminal operations including vessel operations, yard planning, and gate throughput.
• Extract and prepare data from OMS, timekeeping, telematics, and unstructured sources.
• Build repeatable dashboards that track baselines and improvements over time.
• Partner with leadership to validate KPIs and set targets for AI initiatives.
• Measure business impact, efficiency gains, and ROI from AI projects.
• Design and deliver AI training programs and playbooks for diverse teams.
