Job summary

McGraw Hill seeks a senior leader to build and lead an AI Enablement team in the United States, driving adoption of AI across business workflows, data initiatives, and software development. You will set strategy, governance, and ROI frameworks while partnering with architecture to turn plans into scalable execution.

Qualifications

• Senior leader with a software engineering background who can engage with engineers and executives across business, data, and developer domains.
• Expert-level user of AI tools, not just a manager of people who use them.
• Experience leading a technology adoption or enablement team with platform strategy or cross-functional focus.
• Track record of driving org-wide change and adoption of new tools or processes.
• Comfortable owning governance, cost, and ROI conversations, speaking to risk and business value.
• Strong executive presence and communication skills to lead from the front or empower teams.
• Prior AI transformation experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and grow the AI Enablement team across business workflow enablement, data enablement, and developer enablement.
• Set strategy, priorities, and operating model for AI adoption and scaling across workflows, data initiatives, and software development.
• Partner with Solution Architect to turn strategy into execution.
• Hire, coach, and develop a team that moves fast and partners credibly with technical and business stakeholders.
• Represent AI enablement to executive leadership and secure resources.
• Own the company’s AI adoption approach across audiences, building playbooks, standards, and training.
• Establish governance for AI tool evaluation, approval, and use with security, compliance, and risk in mind.
• Define best practices for cost-conscious use of enterprise AI tools and token optimization.
• Create mechanisms for ongoing AI fluency: training programs, communities of practice, and enablement resources.
• Own cost model and budget for AI tools and enablement programs.
• Define how AI ROI is measured and build reporting for leadership.
• Prioritize the AI enablement portfolio by impact and adoption.
• Continuously reassess priorities as tools and business needs evolve.
