Job summary

SOMERSET STAFFING seeks a Principal AI Native Enablement & Transformation Lead to drive the engineering org through AI-driven SDLC modernization. You will architect the Golden Path and bridge veteran software architecture with hands-on AI tooling in a Java/Spring/React stack.

Qualifications

• 15+ years SDLC/architecture leadership.
• 2+ years AI-assisted development in enterprise settings.
• Full stack proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, React and microservices.
• Ability to audit AI-generated code for quality and safety.
• Experience with Organizational Change Management (OCM) and communities of practice.
• Proven track record leading senior engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop training curricula to professionalize Claude Code proficiency.
• Lead the developer AI transformation through formal training and peer sessions.
• Design career migration paths showing AI-enabled workflows for engineers.
• Standardize AI configuration and enterprise standards into AI memory.
• Collaborate with AI governance and security to embed policies in IDE workflows.
• Modernize legacy systems via AI-driven refactoring and modernization.
• Foster a community of practice with office hours and forums.
• Refine requirements with AI to improve user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Promote disciplined token usage and manage cost of context.
