Job summary

Somerset Staffing seeks a Senior/Lead AI Developer to lead technical modernization efforts for enterprise apps in a hands-on capacity. You will triage existing systems, define AI agent-based strategies, and guide pods through secure upgrades while preserving architecture.

Responsibilities span reverse engineering, reusable AI skills, and governance, with emphasis on Java/.NET modernization and token-based security patterns. Strong incident experience and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of IT experience as a software engineer with production incident experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in agentic engineering and AI projects.

Responsibilities

• Triage unfamiliar enterprise applications and design modernization approach.
• Lead reverse engineering of legacy and current-state apps using AI agents.
• Define and govern reusable AI skills/agents for analysis and migration.
• Oversee modernization of Java and .NET apps, including upgrades.
• Guide security modernization including token-based identity (Okta/OAuth/JWT).
• Break work into pod-ready increments and mentor delivery pods.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and readiness.
