Job description

Established in 1994, the Q Family Office is an organization that combines more than 30 years of history with a deep entrepreneurial spirit. The family office currently includes a manager of a $500 million hedge fund/private investment firm, a $3 billion bank, a $400 million real estate investment firm, and a $275 million charitable foundation.

We are seeking an exceptionally talented, high-achieving student or recent graduate with a demonstrated passion for artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to help lead AI adoption and innovation within our organization.

This is a high-impact role designed for a top academic performer (1400+ SAT or 31+ ACT, 3.7+ GPA from a leading university) who is deeply interested in AI - whether through formal work experience, research, startups, or personal projects.

You will serve as our internal Automation Specialist, AI strategist, researcher, implementation lead, and trainer - responsible for identifying best-in-class AI platforms, designing practical workflows, and enabling employees (including executive leadership) to use AI effectively to enhance productivity, decision-making, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain AI agents capable of planning, tool-calling, and executing multi-step tasks.
  • Implement RAG and grounding strategies for internal knowledge.
  • Use Azure OpenAI Assistants or similar frameworks.
  • Implement reliability patterns: failover logic, monitoring, and evaluation.
2. AI Platform Enablement
  • Partner with IT to manage model access, security controls, app integrations, and cost visibility.
  • Integrate AI capabilities across Microsoft 365 and internal systems.
  • Maintain templates, workflows, prompts, and internal tools.
3. Workflow Automation & Integrations
  • Identify process bottlenecks and redesign workflows using AI + automation tools.
  • Build internal automations with Copilot Studio or other similar tools.
  • Prototype quickly, validate with business partners, and iterate.
  • Run trainings, workshops, and playbooks to drive company-wide adoption.
  • Coach employees, including senior executives, one-on-one on practical AI usage, safe prompting patterns, and workflow redesign.
  • Maintain an internal knowledge hub of best practices.
5. Governance, Risk, and Responsible AI
  • Help craft and maintain internal AI usage policies: data security, confidentiality boundaries, safety, compliance.
  • Implement prompt safety patterns and audit trails.
  • Partner with Legal/Compliance as needed.
6. Research, Experimentation & Forward Strategy
  • Stay on top of emerging AI tools, models, and automation frameworks.
  • Run test, evaluate feasibility, and provide recommendations for future improvements.
  • Publish concise internal recommendations for leadership.
  • Track emerging trends in AI (agents, multimodal systems, automation frameworks, industry-specific AI solutions) and recommend long-term AI strategies aligned with company goals.
