Job summary

Skyrocket-Education in Pasadena, CA seeks an experienced Publishing Operations Leader to own end-to-end publishing lifecycle for K-12 curriculum across print, digital, and apps, driving scalable, automated workflows.

You will design workflows, QA gates, manage editors, designers, and vendors, and collaborate with Curriculum leadership to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality materials.

Qualifications

• Experience leading end-to-end publishing operations in education or a complex content environment.
• Proven ability to implement scalable publishing processes and QA checks.
• Experience with automation and AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

• Owns and oversees the end-to-end publishing lifecycle for curriculum products across print, digital, and apps.
• Develops clearly defined workflows, ownership structures, approval processes, quality gates, timelines, and accountability standards for every stage of publishing.
• Oversees editorial and production processes including copyediting, formatting, design handoffs, quality assurance, and final audits for print and digital.
• Creates measurable QA standards, dashboards, and metrics to monitor status, cycle time, errors, rework, and on-time delivery.
• Leads publishing staff and coordinates editors, designers, curriculum staff, contractors, vendors, and technology teams.
