Job summary

IntraFi LLC. seeks a Software Architect to lead Java-based Business Process applications, shaping architecture for complex financial workflows and AI-enabled capabilities.

You will collaborate with product, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver maintainable solutions, while guiding engineers on design, testing, and performance. The role is hybrid, requiring two days per week in the Arlington office, with a 90‑day ramp in the same pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience with AI tools to optimize workflows.
• Advanced knowledge of Java and enterprise application development.
• Advanced experience designing or modernizing workflow-driven, rules-driven BP applications.
• Advanced knowledge of relational database design, SQL, data integrity, and performance; Oracle preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with AWS-hosted applications and cloud practices.
• Experience with CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.
• Able to communicate architecture decisions clearly to engineers and stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with AI-enabled capabilities in enterprise apps (model/LLM integration, RAG).
• Knowledge of AI engineering tools, vector search, evaluation, and guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and technical design of Java-based BP applications and platform capabilities.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear solution designs and non-functional requirements.
• Design reliable processing flows for rules, transactions, validation, and data reconciliation.
• Guide engineers on structure, testing, performance, security, and operability.
• Establish relational data design and SQL practices ensuring data integrity and scalability.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to resolve ambiguity and assess risks.
• Conduct design reviews and maintain architecture artifacts and decision records.
• Architect and integrate AI-enabled capabilities with architecture controls and security.
• Partner with DevOps on CI/CD, observability, and AWS operations.
• Mentor developers and provide technical leadership (no direct reports).
