Job summary

Sunlight Financial, LLC is seeking an IT Business Analyst to partner with business units to map processes, gather requirements, and craft AI-ready solutions that improve efficiency and compliance. The role focuses on translating needs into clear functional specs and working with QA, UAT, and compliance teams in a fast-paced environment.

The position is based in Charlotte, NC on a hybrid schedule, offering exposure to a growing home-improvement lending business and the chance to influence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 5+ years as a Business Analyst in IT, preferably financial services.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience documenting AI, automation, or workflow requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements, use cases, and process maps.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and compliance implications.
• Translate processes into technical specifications for AI agents.
• Work with architects and developers to create concise functional documentation.
• Support QA with test scenarios and lead UAT sign-off.
• Monitor deployment and report on Measures of Success.
