Job summary

S&P Global is seeking a Technical Team Lead to guide the design, development, and delivery of an AI‑enabled index calculation and backtesting platform. This role blends hands‑on Java full‑stack engineering with AWS cloud development and technical leadership across a financial technology platform.

You will mentor engineers, shape architecture, review code, and collaborate with product and quantitative stakeholders to ensure scalable, auditable, production‑ready software.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with Java full‑stack delivery.
• 5+ years of technical leadership including mentoring and code reviews.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, relational databases.
• Frontend experience with React/Angular/Vue, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with AWS cloud‑native development, CI/CD, testing, and production readiness.
• Interest or experience in financial platforms, index calculation, or backtesting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering delivery of an AI‑enabled financial platform for index calculation, options analytics, back testing, and workflow execution.
• Define technical architecture, standards, and delivery patterns for the team.
• Mentor engineers, review architecture and code, and drive design reviews and sprint planning.
• Partner with product, quantitative analysts, QA, data, and infra teams to translate requirements into plans.
• Ensure platform is scalable, secure, observable, auditable, and production‑ready.
• Apply AI‑assisted development practices with responsible review and documentation.
