Job summary

Penn State University in University Park seeks a collaborative leader to shape the Nittany AI Alliance, strengthening experiential AI learning with students, faculty and external partners. The role drives initiatives from Inspire to the AI Challenge and affiliates, translating ideas into sustainable programs across Penn State and industry partners.

Qualifications

• Experience developing, managing, delivering, or evaluating educational or outreach programs.
• Experience working in higher education or with faculty or students.
• Experience supervising employees or leading teams and providing feedback.
• Strong program management, organization, facilitation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Nittany AI Alliance; supervise staff, set priorities, assign work, coach, and build a high-performing team.
• Develop operational strategies for NAIA and support transition to classroom experiential learning.
• Lead NAIA initiatives including Nittany AI Inspire, the Annual Challenge, and other experiential learning opportunities.
• Establish learning outcomes and assessment methods; analyze participation data to recommend improvements.
• Develop and manage a faculty affiliates program linking faculty with student mentoring and projects.
• Support faculty grant submissions related to AI research, outreach, and education.
• Establish processes for project selection, budgeting, communication, assessment and reporting.
• Coordinate with faculty, mentors, judges, and partners to support program delivery and student teams.
• Build relationships with academic units, colleges, campuses and external partners to expand participation.
