Job summary

Penn State University seeks a collaborative Education Program Supervisor for the Nittany AI Alliance (NAIA) to lead operations, shape experiential AI learning, and grow partnerships across Penn State and with industry, government, and community partners.

You will develop strategies, manage programs like NAIA Inspire and the Nittany AI Challenge, and establish a faculty affiliates program to bridge faculty expertise with student projects and mentoring.

Qualifications

  • Experience developing, managing, delivering, or evaluating educational, professional development, outreach, or co-curricular programs.
  • Experience in higher education or collaborating with faculty, students, academic programs, or educational organizations.
  • Experience supervising employees or leading teams, including assigning work, setting priorities, and providing feedback.
  • Strong program management, organizational, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collect and analyze program data and use findings to guide program improvement.
  • Working knowledge of artificial intelligence and its applications, limitations, and responsible-use considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Nittany AI Alliance by supervising staff, setting priorities, and reviewing work.
  • Guide the growth of NAIA by developing operational strategies and supporting transitions to classroom experiential learning.
  • Lead initiatives such as Nittany AI Inspire, the Nittany AI Challenge, and other AI experiences.
  • Establish learning outcomes and assessment methods; analyze participation and program data for improvements.
  • Develop and manage a faculty affiliates program connecting faculty with mentoring, projects, and workshops.
  • Support faculty grant submissions related to AI research, outreach, and education.
  • Establish processes for project selection, budgeting, communication, assessment, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with faculty, facilitators, mentors, judges, and partners to deliver programs.
