Job summary

CodeAI is seeking a Software Engineer on the Teacher Experience team to improve AI-powered education tools used by teachers globally. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and curriculum writers to turn classroom needs into reliable features, using agentic AI while keeping maintainability in focus.

You will help scale educational technology for diverse classrooms, working in a fully open source environment with a strong culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• We are seeking candidates who are passionate about expanding access to CS and AI education.
• Hands-on experience using agentic AI tools to build software.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure supporting high-scale applications.
• Technical leadership experience guiding architecture or teams.
• Ability to drive projects independently and communicate progress clearly.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to inclusive engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end features that are accessible, usable, and engaging in real classrooms.
• Prototype and iterate on AI-focused products for students, evaluating AI models with safety in mind.
• Own complex projects and drive architectural decisions across teams.
• Support site and user needs including monitoring, updates, and issue triage.
• Foster collaboration through knowledge sharing and code reviews.
