Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking a Resource Modeling Analyst WL to run AI-driven statistical, wind flow, solar irradiance, and GIS models to produce long-term energy production estimates. You will collect data, test power curves, and support investment decisions across diverse turbine configurations.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will mentor junior analysts while advancing AI-based models and maintaining quality assurance in all efforts. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience: 1+ years in analytics or energy modeling.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews meteorological data from sensing devices.
• Runs AI-driven wind/solar models to estimate long-term production.
• Performs geospatial analysis using ArcGIS and other tools to optimize turbine locations.
• Collects and filters solar irradiance and farm operational data.
• Assists in investment due diligence and financing support.
• Mentors lower level analysts and supports cross-functional teams.
