Job summary

Hostinger seeks a System Engineer to join a fast-moving AI-first team responsible for building and running high-performance, scalable hosting infrastructure. You’ll design features to improve speed, reliability, and scale, and automate operations to reduce manual work and accelerate delivery.

You will deploy with IaC, monitor real-time metrics, and collaborate across teams to share learnings, raise the bar for reliability, and push continuous improvement in a dynamic, distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux OS experience (3+ years).
• Ansible proficiency – you trust automation and know how to do it right.
• Programming or scripting skills in Python or Go (bonus if both).
• Experience managing and optimizing web servers, databases, and caching systems.
• Familiarity with cloud environments like GCP (or similar).
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals - DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP.
• Experience applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new features that make our hosting platform faster, more reliable, and easier to scale.
• Deploy and run infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation.
• Operate and observe systems through real metrics: availability, latency, performance, capacity, reliability.
• Refine and tune systems to eliminate bottlenecks and improve reliability.
• Improve monitoring and alerting to catch symptoms before outages occur.
• Share knowledge with other engineers to raise the bar for reliability.
