Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking an SSD Firmware CI/CD & AI Intern in Colorado to join the firmware team focused on automation, AI agents, and CI/CD improvements that accelerate firmware development, testing, and validation.

You will develop Python-based automation, analyze pipeline data, and collaborate across firmware, validation, and software engineering to boost productivity and quality while gaining hands-on experience in AI-enabled software development.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience through internships, research projects, coursework, academic projects, hackathons, or software development activities related to automation, AI, DevOps, firmware, or software engineering.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Understanding of software development fundamentals, debugging, automation, and problem-solving techniques.
• Interest in artificial intelligence, AI agents, machine learning, intelligent automation, or AI-assisted software development.
• Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools and large language models (LLMs) such as Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar technologies to improve productivity and software development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI agents that enhance firmware development, testing, integration, and validation workflows.
• Build and maintain Python-based automation solutions for CI/CD pipelines, firmware builds, testing, and release activities.
• Analyze CI/CD pipeline performance, test results, and workflow data to identify opportunities for quality, reliability, and productivity improvements.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools and intelligent automation capabilities into existing firmware engineering processes.
• Collaborate with firmware, validation, and software engineering teams to evaluate, deploy, and continuously improve automation and AI-enabled development solutions.
