Job summary

Rocket Homes Real Estate LLC is seeking a Software Engineering Team Leader for the Servicing Digital – Transact team in Detroit to drive delivery, coach engineers, and grow talent across a full-stack stack (Next.js/React, NestJS GraphQL, .NET/C#, AWS). You’ll partner with product and design, define a clear roadmap, and remove blockers across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience, including hands-on full-stack work.
• 2+ years of experience leading or managing software engineers.
• Working knowledge of Next.js or React and a NestJS GraphQL integration layer.
• Back-end development in .NET / C# and NestJS GraphQL.
• Experience delivering software on AWS with EKS / Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to develop engineers, manage performance, and deliver through a team.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of full-stack engineers, owning hiring, onboarding, performance, and career growth.
• Own your team’s delivery: planning, prioritization, execution, and high-quality outcomes.
• Set technical direction across front end and back end stacks.
• Ensure applications are reliably built, deployed, and operated on AWS and EKS through CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with product, design, data, and business stakeholders to translate needs into a roadmap.
• Foster ownership, inclusion, continuous learning, and healthy engineering practices.
