Job summary

Rocket is a Detroit-based company building an AI-first platform that analyzes client communications and engagement signals for mortgage professionals. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will own full-stack features end-to-end—from problem framing to design, implementation, release, and iteration—to drive real business impact.

You will develop agentic AI capabilities and scalable backend/frontend solutions using C#, Python, Angular, AWS and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience building production software in C#, Java, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience building full-stack applications across frontend, backend, APIs and data integrations.
• Experience deploying and operating apps on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Strong design, architecture, testing, observability and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Own full-stack features from problem definition through design, implementation, release, measurement and iteration.
• Build agentic AI capabilities such as agent orchestration, tool calls, retrieval-augmented workflows, and LLM-powered features.
• Design evaluation, observability, and guardrails for AI agents ensuring reliability and safety.
• Design and implement scalable backend and frontend solutions using C#, Python, Angular, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with product, design, data, and business stakeholders to translate ambiguous needs into reliable tech solutions.
• Contribute to architecture and technical strategy decisions balancing speed, scalability and business impact.
• Mentor other engineers and promote high ownership across distributed teams.
