Qualifications

• 1–5 years of people-management experience over software developers.
• Hands-on coding ability to stay technically credible.
• 80–90% leadership focus in the role.
• Experience collaborating with product managers.
• Willingness to work on site in Birmingham, AL, 8–5.
• Experience overseeing frontend migrations (e.g., Angular to React).
• Exposure to AI tools to accelerate development.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3–5 software engineers.
• Partner with product managers to prioritize and deliver work.
• Guide development of web applications and an internally built platform.
• Champion AI tools that accelerate the team’s development.
• Drive continuous process improvement across the team.
• Stay hands‑on enough to guide technical decisions and review code.
• Collaborate with the company’s AI team on new initiatives.
