Abridge is seeking Software Engineering Interns for a 3-month Fall 2026 program in San Francisco. You will collaborate with our engineering team to design, code, and ship features that translate cutting-edge language model capabilities into dependable clinical systems.

You will gain hands-on experience building real-world AI-powered software, with mentorship and opportunities to extend. This internship is based in our SF office and requires on-site work 5x per week.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in computer science or related technical field.
• Interest in pursuing a full-time software engineering role in 2027.
• Experience with AI tooling to accelerate work and learning.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end features for existing systems and LLM workflows.
• Fix user-facing bugs and improve backend/frontend quality of life.
• Engage with evaluation frameworks for accuracy and reliability.
• Prototype with new models and open-source orchestration tools.
• Develop a user-centric mindset for clinicians' workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship features.
• Receive mentorship and work with teammates in your pod.
