OPENLANE is seeking a Software Engineer to build scalable, cloud-native APIs for a green-field project, replacing our legacy system. You’ll contribute to API design, front-end work, and performance tuning across a modern tech stack.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, GraphQL/REST, React, and relational databases. Emphasis on AI-driven development and collaboration with product and platform teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building and supporting production software systems.
• Design-first mindset with strong coding discipline.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript for Node.js or browser environments.
• Experience with service API development (GraphQL and REST/JSON).
• Familiarity with React and relational databases (SQL Server/MySQL).
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and git workflows.
• Experience applying AI tools to improve development speed and quality.
