Job summary

OPENLANE is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to build scalable, cloud-native APIs with .NET Core, Java or Kotlin. You will lead architecture discussions, drive testing strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high-value core components.

The role emphasizes telemetry, performance tuning, and AI-enabled development within Enterprise Technology Services. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in relevant areas and a strong track record delivering reliable, scalable systems

Qualifications

8+ years of experience building scalable, cloud-native APIs with .NET, preferably Core / Java / Kotlin.
Experience with front-end React development is a plus.
Strong telemetry and performance tuning with modern APM tooling.
Solid understanding of application development and testing methodologies.
Active use of AI development tools and curiosity about applying AI to real problems.

Responsibilities

Lead technical discussions on software architecture and testing to ensure quality and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to construct and maintain high-value core system components across multiple stacks.
Continuously enhance core offerings and drive improvements in reliability and scalability.
