Job summary

OPENLANE is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join our cloud-first, API-first engineering team. You will build, maintain, and scale microservices, with hands-on work in TypeScript/Node.js, Angular frontend, and AWS-based deployments.

You’ll use AI-assisted tools to stay ahead and collaborate in an Agile setting. You will mentor, review code, and contribute to data-driven solutions in the automotive finance domain.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular or Vue).
• Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript; Java or C# a plus.
• Foundational knowledge of Node.js and RESTful API design.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Git for version control and Visual Studio Code.

Responsibilities

• Develop & maintain clean, testable code in TypeScript/Node.js.
• Contribute to cloud-based services within a microservices environment on AWS.
• Collaborate with the frontend team using Angular to build intuitive interfaces.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate coding and learning.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and code reviews; mentor juniors.
• Write and optimize SQL queries; work with relational/non-relational databases.
• Operate CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions) to ship code frequently.
