Waymo is seeking a senior operations leader for Software Quality Operations focused on ML/AV workflows. You will decompose complex safety triage processes, apply ML techniques for automation, and scale human-in-the-loop systems across expanding city deployments.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Systems Engineering to drive model validation, data quality and performance metrics, while shaping policy and roadmaps for scalable safety operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in AV Software Quality Operations / ML Operations.
• Experience across Product, Engineering, Data Science and Systems Engineering.
• Experience with ML testing, dataset QA, bias detection and performance metrics.

Responsabilités

• Drive strategy and implementation for decomposing safety triage workflows with advanced operational and ML techniques.
• Serve as expert for human-in-the-loop ML systems, defining requirements for high-quality feedback to ML models.
• Partner with Engineering to design, test, and deploy ML and Gen‑AI models and tools to improve issue discovery, triage efficiency and QA.
• Leverage AI-powered insights and traditional triage signals to identify emerging on-road issue trends and risk scenarios.
• Bridge AI/ML development and operations by defining policies, roadmaps, and blueprints to scale capabilities.
• Advise senior stakeholders on long-term technical strategy and operational capabilities.
