Job summary

PSI Pax, Inc. seeks a Robotics Engineer to advance AI-enabled robotic systems for North America manufacturing. Reporting to Engineering Manager, you will lead AI/robotics deployment from concept to production, partnering with controls and plant teams to boost capability and reduce fixed costs.

The role emphasizes hands-on development in computer vision, ML, robotics, and sensor fusion, with emphasis on safety and scalable documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in robotics or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience deploying manufacturing automation systems.
• Experience in robotics, AI/ML, or advanced automation development.
• Full-stack mindset; delivering complete solutions beyond algorithms.
• Hands-on in computer vision, ML, or robotics.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, ROS; strong software fundamentals.
• Knowledge of sensors (RGB-D, LiDAR, ToF) and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and deploy AI-enabled robotic solutions to improve capability, flexibility, and performance.
• Develop CV, ML, and sensor fusion for real-world manufacturing applications.
• Build and optimize AI models for industrial hardware with latency and reliability balance.
• Bridge AI Python scripts with standard industrial automation.
• Use simulation tools for concept validation and Sim2Real deployment.
• Lead equipment trials, debugging, and production deployment from PoC to production.
• Collaborate with robotics, controls, and plant teams to integrate AI into production.
• Evaluate emerging Physical AI tech via benchmarking and supplier engagement.
• Ensure safety, reliability, and manufacturability; align with standards.
• Present concepts and results to stakeholders and leadership.
• Manage contractors for testing cells; document for scaling and enablement.
