Job summary
PSI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in the Lexington area to drive AI-enabled automation across production lines. You will work with robotics, controls, and plant teams to implement advanced automation and improve overall efficiency.
The role requires hands-on experience with AI/ML, robotics, and manufacturing deployments, along with a full-stack mindset to deliver complete solutions including software and hardware interfaces.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in robotics, CS, data science, EE, ME or related field.
- Experience deploying manufacturing automation deployments.
- Experience in robotics, AI/ML, or advanced automation development.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with robotics, controls, and manufacturing teams to integrate AI into production systems.
- Identify, evaluate, and benchmark emerging physical AI technologies through benchmarking, supplier engagement, and industry events.
- Ensure safety, reliability, and manufacturability with standards and internal risk assessments.
- Present technical concepts, results, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
- Manage contractors to design and construct testing cells.
- Produce clear documentation to enable scaling and customer enablement.
