Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health seeks a Quality Engineer, AI & Test Automation to modernize quality practices and push automation-first testing across software and AI-enabled capabilities.

You will design, build, and maintain automated test suites, validate APIs and data, and integrate tests into CI/CD. Collaboration with Product, Engineering, AI teams, and clinical stakeholders is essential to ensure safe, reliable releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or related technical field.
• Minimum 5–8+ years in quality engineering, software testing, test automation, SDET, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing automated tests for APIs, web/mobile apps, workflows, data validation, or end-to-end experiences.
• Experience with Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and modern product delivery environments.
• Exposure to AI-enabled products and AI testing concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop test strategies, plans, acceptance criteria, and quality approaches with stakeholders.
• Translate requirements, workflows, APIs, and data dependencies into test scenarios and validation plans.
• Identify quality risks early and recommend automated, manual, exploratory, and AI-specific validation methods.
• Design, build, maintain, and improve automated test suites for API, UI, integration, data, and end-to-end tests.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to provide early quality signals.
• Support AI-enabled testing, evaluation datasets, scoring rubrics, and regression scenarios.
• Communicate quality status and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
