Job summary

Fastbreak AI in Charlotte, NC is seeking a QA Engineer who blends exploratory testing with modern automation to ensure web and mobile quality. You will uncover edge cases, design test plans, and apply AI-assisted testing approaches as the field evolves.

Working closely with product and development teams, you will build automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) for web and mobile apps, track defects in JIRA, and contribute to end-to-end quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA engineering experience.
• Strong testing fundamentals including test case design, boundary testing, regression testing.
• Hands-on automation experience with web and mobile apps using Selenium/Appium/Cypress/Playwright.
• Manual testing expertise and exploratory testing approach.
• Technical aptitude to read code and collaborate with developers.
• Self-starter mindset able to manage multiple priorities.
• Curiosity about AI tools and AI-assisted testing frameworks.
• Proficiency with JIRA for defect tracking and test management.

Responsibilities

• Uncover edge cases through exploratory testing and creative thinking to find bugs automated tests might miss.
• Embrace AI-powered testing tools and frameworks to optimize efficiency.
• Build robust test automation for web (Next.js, Node.js) and mobile apps using modern frameworks.
• Create comprehensive test plans, write clear test cases, and ensure coverage across features.
• Own the testing process end-to-end and propose improvements to strategies.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to define testing approaches.
• Track defects in JIRA, maintain test documentation, and use Git for version control.
