Job summary

Beacon Funding Corporation is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to test existing and new applications across our technology ecosystem, including internal origination, underwriting, servicing systems and dealer-facing portals.

The role blends manual and automated testing within an Agile Scrum team to ensure quality is built in from the start, with emphasis on AI-assisted testing to boost coverage and reduce maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, quality assurance, or engineering emphasis or equivalent preferred.
• 4–6 years of experience in software quality assurance, combining manual and automated testing.
• Experience testing web applications across legacy and modern platforms.
• Working knowledge of a test automation framework and scripting for automated tests.
• Strong aptitude to adopt AI-assisted testing tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated testing on existing and new applications.
• Design, execute, and maintain test cases and automated scripts.
• Analyze test data to identify defects and document issues for engineering teams.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies to embed quality in the development process.
• Develop and extend automated test coverage using a test automation framework.
• Evaluate AI-assisted testing techniques to expand automation coverage and reduce maintenance.
• Use AI-based tools to accelerate analysis of test results and logs.
• Track and manage defects in the bug-tracking system with clear reproduction steps.
• Support regression testing across releases affecting internal tools and customer portals.
• Identify bottlenecks in QA processes and suggest improvements to reduce backlog.
