Job summary

Ancestry is seeking a product manager to build AI-powered consumer features at scale. You will deeply understand back-end data systems, balancing feasibility, accuracy, and cost, and lead discovery using AI-native workflows to prototype and validate ideas before production.

You will collaborate with engineering, design, UX research, marketing, and legal to deliver value quickly and translate complex data into elegant user experiences while running experiments to improve features and models.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years delivering consumer products at global scale.
• Proven track record shipping data-dense or AI-powered features; GenAI/LLMs experience preferred.
• Prototyping with AI tools to build data prototypes during discovery.
• Ability to manage immense back-end complexity bridging architecture and business strategy.
• Ability to transform complex data into simple, magical user moments.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or CS; genealogy/storytelling interest is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deeply understand how back-end data systems solve user needs while balancing feasibility, accuracy and cost.
• Lead AI-native product discovery, rapidly building live data prototypes to validate hypotheses.
• Lead UI/UX design initiatives with product designer to create intuitive experiences.
• Partner with engineering to build robust platform services powering the ecosystem.
• Collaborate with UX research, marketing, customer support and legal to deliver value quickly.
• Learn from quantitative and qualitative feedback and adapt strategies accordingly.
