Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced engineer to turn AI capabilities into durable products. You’ll work close to users, decisions, and production code, driving end-to-end ownership across experience, services, data, and enterprise integrations.

You will move from user conversations to prototypes, then secure services, with speed complemented by accessibility, maintainability, and evidence-driven evaluation. Hybrid work with up to 50% travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• End-to-end delivery: taking software from concept through launch, learning, and adoption.
• Technical breadth across modern frontend, backend, API, data, and cloud technologies.
• Applied AI experience with large language models, retrieval, tools, or similar patterns.
• Evidence of automated testing and behavioral evaluation for probabilistic systems.
• Live-service ownership including telemetry, debugging, reliability, incident response, recovery, and performance improvements.
• User-centered practice collaborating with users, designers, and product leaders.
• Engineering craft with clear specs, maintainable code, and sound technical trade-offs.
• Travel up to 50% and hybrid office flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Start with the user—work with users and domain experts to understand workflows and identify AI value.
• Test assumptions quickly by turning hypotheses into prototypes and small releases.
• Own complete product slices spanning experience, services, data, AI behavior, and integrations.
• Shape AI behavior with instructions, context design, retrieval outputs, and tool use.
• Build the evidence system with representative tasks and automated evaluations.
• Instrument user journeys to relate adoption and task success to system behavior and cost.
• Engineer for responsible use with data handling, checkpoints, and safe degradation.
• Own production quality by releasing incrementally and monitoring live behavior.
• Balance experience, quality, speed, reliability, and cost with deterministic software when appropriate.
• Share reusable components and evaluation assets with the platform.
