Job summary

Morris Furniture Company is seeking a Business Process Engineer to partner with corporate headquarters, Customer Care, Distribution and retail teams. You will review current processes, design standards, and implement improvements, often using AI and automation tools to streamline operations.

Reporting to the VP of Business Operations, you will build SOPs, develop dashboards, and drive end-to-end workflow changes, training leaders and frontline staff to sustain data-driven performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field is required; MBA preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement experience.
• Hands-on experience building AI-enabled tools, automations, or workflows.
• Ability to work primarily on-site in Dayton, OH, with up to one remote day per week.
• Willingness to embed full-time within departments across corporate, Customer Care, Distribution and retail teams.
• Strong data literacy and ability to reconcile data across systems.

Responsibilities

• Embed within prioritized departments to observe, implement, and improve operations.
• Build automated dashboards and KPI trackers across company, market, location and individuals.
• Document and transfer ownership of processes through clear SOPs.
• Design, deploy, and train AI-enabled tools and workflows.
• Lead adoption, auditing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
