Job summary

Forrest T. Jones & Company seeks an AI Process Optimization Engineer to identify and improve business processes using AI, automation, and data analytics.

You will work with stakeholders, IT, and data professionals to evaluate AI opportunities, develop intelligent process solutions, and ensure measurable business value from AI initiatives. The role involves applying Lean and Six Sigma, developing process maps, and building dashboards to track performance while integrating AI into enterprise

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in process improvement, industrial engineering, business systems, analytics, or related disciplines.
  • Experience with BPM methodologies.
  • Knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or intelligent automation technologies.
  • Experience using data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze end-to-end business processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for optimization.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, Industrial Engineering, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Develop process maps, workflow diagrams, and value stream analyses.
  • Establish baselines and track improvement metrics.
  • Evaluate and implement AI technologies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Identify use cases for Machine Learning, Generative AI, Intelligent Document Processing, and Predictive Analytics.
  • Partner with the BPMO team to design, test, and deploy AI-powered solutions.
  • Develop business cases supporting AI investments and transformation initiatives.
  • Analyze data to uncover trends and opportunities; create dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Use predictive and prescriptive analytics to improve planning and decision-making.
  • Ensure data integrity and governance standards.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate AI into enterprise systems.
  • Support system enhancement projects and digital transformation programs.
  • Assist with requirements gathering, solution design, and user acceptance testing.
  • Educate stakeholders on AI opportunities and capabilities.
  • Support organizational readiness and adoption of AI-enabled processes.
  • Develop training materials and best practices for AI utilization.
  • Monitor solution effectiveness and drive continuous improvements.

Position Summary

The AI Process Optimization Engineer is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and improving business processes through the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation technologies, and data analytics. This role bridges operational excellence, business systems, and emerging AI capabilities to drive efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance decision‑making across the organization.

The position works closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, data professionals, and operational leaders to evaluate opportunities for AI adoption, develop intelligent process solutions, and ensure measurable business value from AI‑enabled initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Process Analysis and Improvement
  • Analyze end-to-end business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, Industrial Engineering, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Develop process maps, workflow diagrams, and value stream analyses.

AI and Automation Solutions
  • Evaluate and implement AI technologies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Identify use cases for Machine Learning, Generative AI, Intelligent Document Processing, Predictive Analytics, and Process Mining.

  • Develop business cases supporting AI investments and transformation initiatives.
Data Analytics and Decision Support
  • Analyze operational and business data to uncover trends and improvement opportunities.

Business Systems Integration

  • Knowledge of Process Mining tools such as Celonis or Microsoft Process Advisor.
  • Experience leading digital transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with change management methodologies.
