• 10+ years of software engineering experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience leading engineering strategy across multiple teams.
• Ownership of technical direction for complex platforms at scale.
• Proven record building leadership pipelines and succession outcomes.
• Experience embedding AI into products and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-year technical vision across tax engines, runtime platforms, and APIs.
• Partner with product, AI, and experience leaders to extend the platform for Agentic AI.
• Co-own architecture reviews and connect roadmaps to customer impact.
• Grow and coach engineering managers; delegate effectively.
• Lead hiring plans, succession, mentorship, and performance calibration.
• Set high-performance standards and durable leadership pipelines.
• Grow AI skills across teams and run AI-native teams.
• Own customer outcomes across tax tech portfolio and drive cross-team improvements.
• Resolve cross-team friction with Product, Design, and Support.
• Represent org in leadership planning and balance platform investment with delivery timelines.
• Drive reliability, on-call health, and post-incident learning for tax-critical systems.
• Prioritize ruthlessly to maximize customer impact and align with strategy.
• Promote coding, testing, resiliency, security, and compliance.
