Job summary

Intuit Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Development Productivity team in Mountain View.

You will help design agentic platforms and workflows powering backend services, enabling AI-powered code analysis, generation, and autonomous task execution across Intuit's developer tools. You will lead design discussions, mentor engineers, contribute to technical specifications, and participate in end-to-end project planning while coding 50-70% of the time.

Qualifications

8+ years experience designing and developing web, software, or mobile applications.
Demonstrated technical leadership: leading design discussions, driving projects end to end, and acting as a go-to technical resource for the team.
Strong grounding in the software design/architecture process, including distributed systems.
Solid experience with object-oriented languages (Java/J2EE, C#, Python, Go or similar).
Experience with AI frameworks and agentic workflows, and LLM integration.

Responsibilities

Design and build agentic platforms and workflows powering backend services, enabling code analysis, generation, automated review, and autonomous task execution.
Mentor fellow engineers, lead design discussions, and drive solutions to challenging programming and design problems.
Roughly 50-70% hands-on coding while contributing to technical specifications and test planning.
Create technical documentation to communicate architectural and design options, and educate development teams.
Work cross-functionally with product management, QA/QE, and other business units to drive results.
