Job summary

Plaid is seeking a hands-on People Operations Manager to redesign onboarding, lifecycle changes, HR case management, compliance, and immigration processes for an AI-first org. You’ll lead a three-person team and report to the Head of People Technology, AI and Operations.

In this role, you’ll map processes, configure workflows, and drive change across People Systems, Finance, Tech Ops, and HR Business Partners while defining team metrics and piloting new AI-enabled tools.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in People Operations, including leadership and strategy setting.
• Experience implementing tools that improve efficiency (ticketing, knowledge base, workflow automation) with measurable results.
• Ability to redesign processes from first principles for AI and automation.
• Direct experience with Workday and familiarity with the People tech stack.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tech Ops, People Technology, and HR Business Partners.

Responsibilities

• Redesign People Operations for an AI-first model and own multi-year strategy.
• Lead the team of three Operations specialists, including an Immigration Specialist.
• Map processes, configure workflows, and drive change across functions.
• Pilot new tools/workflows and scale or stop as needed.
• Ensure accuracy/auditability of employee data across HR systems.
• Partner with Finance on payroll inputs and headcount changes.
