Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Network Developer to lead design, validation, and deployment of large-scale network infrastructures for OCI regions and AI environments. The role emphasizes automation, performance, and reliability across spine-leaf fabrics, with mentorship for engineers and active involvement in incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in hyperscale cloud, ISP, or large enterprise networking environments.
• Strong understanding of modern data center networking architectures.
• Experience with routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, IPv4/IPv6, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Hands-on with commodity Ethernet platforms (Broadcom, NVIDIA/Mellanox).
• Experience with network automation frameworks and APIs.
• Familiarity with YANG/OpenConfig/NETCONF/gNMI and model-driven networking.
• Telemetry, observability, monitoring, and performance analysis.
• Knowledge of network security and high-availability architectures.
• Excellent troubleshooting and collaboration skills.
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools to improve automation and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead network build and expansion projects for OCI Regions and AI infrastructure.
• Deploy and support large-scale data center fabrics and backbone networks.
• Develop MOPs, runbooks, and operational best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Participate in on-call rotations for critical production infrastructure.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes.
• Develop automation using Python for network tasks and operations.
• Collaborate with Network Automation teams to integrate new tooling.
• Partner with vendors to resolve software defects and validate hardware platforms.
• Design network solutions and validate production networks for scalability.
