Job summary

Black Gold IT & Data in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a Senior System Analyst / Assistant Manager of IT to bridge operators and the systems that keep them running. You will own heavy oil & gas software — accounting, land, geology, and operations platforms — while also managing IT: networking, hardware, and the emerging AI work transforming how teams operate.

You’ll be the customer-facing expert, translating operator workflows into practical systems, deploying and maintaining upstream packages,

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with upstream software used by accounting, land, geology, or operations.
Experience supporting heavy oil & gas operators and translating workflows into systems.
Strong IT fundamentals across networking, servers, and storage; able to explain tech to non‑tech users.

Responsibilities

Support, configure, and troubleshoot heavy oil & gas software across teams.
Be the on‑the‑ground face of Black Gold IT at customer sites and translate workflows.
Run the IT side: networking, servers, workstations, Microsoft 365, backups.
Deploy and maintain upstream packages and keep data in sync.
Introduce and scale AI tools to improve operator workflows.
