Job summary

Airbnb is seeking an Operations Engineer to apply AI at the forefront of BizTech's observability and automation. You will leverage LLM-powered triage and scripting to improve incident response and data quality while embedding AI into runbooks.

In this role you will build dashboards, participate in on-call, collaborate with global teams, and help shrink backlog through automation and intelligent alerting. Remote-eligible US-based with opportunities to visit offices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of observability and metrics tooling experience.
• 3+ years working with data querying and pipelines.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation tooling across cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for ticket/workflow management.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS tools and identity services.

Responsibilities

• Manage the ticket queue, prioritize requests, and identify recurring categories to automate.
• Participate in on-call and incident response, documenting issues in real time.
• Build and maintain monitoring dashboards (Tableau, Superset, Grafana) to track service health and data quality.
• Use AI-assisted tools to speed up triage, root-cause analysis, and documentation while applying hands-on judgment when needed.
• Partner with global stakeholder teams to drive issues to resolution.
